School Board Candidate Profile – Ward 2: Lucia Carlisle

Ward 2: Lucia Carlisle

Bringing the parent & business owner experience to the School Board

Lucia Carlisle’s son Tyler just graduated from Manchester High School Central second in his class and headed off to Yale in September. Lucia Carlisle decided to run for Ward 2 School Board because she wanted to give back to the district that did so much for her son.

Lucia Carlisle is also a small business owner so she understands that you have to make every dollar count and get the most out of it.

In her own words:

Why am I running for School Board? I would like the opportunity to use my professional skills to help the educational process. I believe that I bring fiscal reason and sound judgment to the school board. During these difficult times I like to remember what retired Lt. Gen. Paul Van Riper tells his junior officers, “When the money gets short, it’s time to think.”

Biography:

Lucia Carlisle is a 30 year resident of Ward 2. She is the past president of the NH Society for CPA’s, past Chair of Trustees of the First Congressional Church in Manchester and a current member of the Board of Trustees of the Palace Theatre.
