Diane Guimond – Welfare Commissioner
Wants to combine personal experiences to make Manchester better
Diane Guimond is a newcomer to the political scene. Her motivation for running is simply this: to make Manchester a better place. She admits running for the Welfare Commissioner job isn’t easy. People either don’t know a whole lot about the job or don’t want to. Diane is proud to be endorsed by her former primary opponents and is out going door to door winning the hard way – one vote at a time.
In her words:
Why am I running? I recognize the impact government decisions have on taxpayers’ wallets, and I take fiscal responsibility seriously and that is why I am seeking the Welfare Commissioner position. To be successful you must use every resource and I will tap every one of them to efficiently, and effectively, network with my counterparts from other cities, counties and state agencies. I am a person of integrity and I am the most qualified candidate for Welfare Commissioner.
Biography:
Diane has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, advanced studies in counseling and years of public service and management which will be a real asset to her position. She is a lifelong Manchester resident, a grandmother, a sister, mother and aunt with a big heart who wants to serve her community.
