Ward 2: Craig Haynie

Craig Haynie is a relative newcomer to the City of Manchester but almost as soon as he arrived he began to follow city politics. He regularly tunes in and watches the Board of Mayor and Aldermen meetings on Channel 22. His interest in city government and his “ground up” business style approach are what motivates this candidate.

In his own words:

Why am I running? Budget! Budget! Budget! With a 22 million deficit forecast next year, and with taxes and spending climbing at twice the inflation rate for the past 10 years, with school children not able to receive adequate school supplies without help from the parents, we have to rebuild the budget from the ground up.

Biography:

Haynie is originally from Houston, Texas. He is a self-employed software engineer. Currently he manages a computer network for a firm that specializes in forecasting weather and energy demand. Haynie, his wife Susan and son Alex have lived in Ward 2 for nearly two years.
